Little Girl Screaming is the pseudonym of Theresa, Chris, Christian and Kris all hailing from Coventry. For a number of years, they played together around a number of intimate venues in the Midlands and central England, gradually gaining more and more people interested in their music. Within this period of time, they gained enough recognition to be accepted to play the main stage of The Godiva Festival. This is a local event enabling young artists to showcase their talents, in which Little Girl Screaming gained a lot of commendation and acclaim. The BBC also created a small feature on this which led to the recording of a three-track demo including the likes of ‘Two Butterflies’, ‘Curly Curly Hair’, and ‘Am I Not Here, Can You Not See?’. These eventually got an iTunes and Napster feature and, in addition to signing to Horus Music also gained a small item in the NME.
Since the release of these tracks, Little Girl Screaming has had tracks played on the Kerrang! Unsigned show and Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 show. The band have three tracks lined up entitled ‘Breathe’, ‘Facial’ and ‘Closer’ for the promotional O’Neill DVD soundtrack. Consequently, the band have started expanding their fanbase across Europe including some much-appreciated shows in Barcelona. Little Girl Screaming have a busy summer ahead of them, with scheduled live dates and recording sessions in Woodbine studios.
