By seeing music as a way to release tension from everyday life in inner city Birmingham and putting certain issues forward about his life living in what hedescribes as the “matrix”, Renaldo King aka R9 breaks down doors in the music industry as he persues his dream to become successful.

At the age of 18, R9 distributed his first album “Two Halves One Story” which recieved great underground creditability.  He released he had a gift and saw music as a means for a better life and a way for him to create jobs for people in his situation while trying to help everyone outside understand what young Afro Caribbean males are going through.
