    In association with Creative Leicestershire and Leicester Fringe Festival, Horus Music will be hosting a workshop for musicians, whether you’re a solo artists, or part of a band that will discuss music distribution, marketing, music publishing, digital sales, or any other aspect of the music industry that you are interested in.

    The event will start with a formal presentation about the current state of the music industry along with tips and hints on the basics of marketing yourself, increasing your fan base and sales and how these aspects have a positive effect on distribution, licensing and publishing.  After that there will be a general question and answer session in which Nick from Horus Music will be happily discuss any aspect of your musical career or business.

    CrCreative Leicestershire Logoeative Leicestershire do a lot of good work not only for the music industry within Leicestershire but for the entire creative industries.  Over the course of the year you will find a number of free seminars that you can attend as well as various advice classes.  Additionally if you are wanting to set up your own creative business, there is an opportunity for free one to one sessions with a creative business advisor.  Run by very dedicated and enthusiastic people, Creative Leicestershire is a great resource for any creative company.

     

    Arts In LeicestershireArts In Leicestershire is a site dedicated to not only music in Leicestershire but all the arts including dance, art, comedy, theatre and even architecture.  The site hosts a lot of information that is interesting for keeping up to date with general trends and thinking, but additionally can keep you up to date with what is on.  There are plenty of well written reviews and all in all this is a very supportive site to artists / the creative industry within Leicestershire.

     

     

     

    Curve, Leicester

    Curve, Leicester was opened by HM Queen Elizabeth in 2008 and is a fantastic place to enjoy theatre, music, drama, dance or any other type of entertainment.  Two great halls with amazing sound, lighting and anything else you could ever wish for.  There really is a good variety of shows that will interest everyone during the year and is the quality of production is something we highly recommend.
