On Wednesday 21st March Horus Music presents a night of Live original music at the Musician. Performing on the night will be four Of Leicester’s most established and up and coming artists Chris Ostler, Fay Brotherhood, Rosie Doyle and Theo Miller.
Theo Miller is a young singer songwriter from Leicester who is quickly making a name for himself on the local scene. Constantly gigging around the city 2012 promises to be a big year for Theo with up coming gigs at venues like the 02 Academy not to mention a support slot with Joan Armatrading at De Montfort Hall when she plays Leicester in November. Theo is also planning to release his debut EP in the early part of the year.
Rosie Doyle is a young singer/songwriter from Leicester who has built up her reputation through playing at local acoustic and open mic nights throughout the city. Last year Rosie released her debut EP and played the White Noise Festival in Leicester. She also collaborated with fellow Leicester band By The Rivers on a track that featured on Exports 03 a charity compilation released last year. As well as continuing to play live locally Rosie is also currently working on a brand new EP.
Fay Brotherhood is a well-known name on the Leicester scene. She is an up and coming original folk singer/songwriter, originally from Coalville Her set encompasses interpretations of folk songs from the English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh traditions. She has already released four albums worth of material and is currently readying a brand new EP for release.
Since moving to Leicester to attend university Chris Ostler has made a name for himself on the local scene. Releasing his debut album “Show Me The World” towards the end of last year Chris has gone from strength to strength playing last years Glastonbudget festival. Chris has also recently confirmed a support slot with folk legend Joan Armatrading in Torquay as part of her UK tour in November
